It is CannaPiece’s policy to comply with the privacy legislation within each jurisdiction in which we operate. This Privacy Policy covers only those activities that are subject to the provisions of Canada’s federal and provincial privacy laws, as applicable. 

This Privacy Policy has a limited scope and application. Consequently, the rights and obligations contained in this Privacy Policy may not be available to all individuals or in all jurisdictions. 

What Personal Information Do We Collect? 

CannaPiece only collects personal information for reasonable purposes in the circumstances that personal information is necessary, such as providing you with our products and services. 

Personal information is any information relating to an identifiable person other than an individual’s business contact information. This may include the physical and mental health of an individual, amongst other information such as race, age, and sex. 

We value the trust and relationships we have with our customers, therefore we will only ever ask for personal information when it is necessary and we will inform you as to why we need it, if not otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy. 

We may collect your personal information for the following non-exhaustive list: 

–       Registration application and your eligibility for our products and services; 

–       Communication with you including contact for offers, product and service updates and surveys on the quality of our products and services; or

Why Do We Collect Your Personal Information? 

We collect this information to ensure a safe and secure environment for all customers, patients, healthcare professionals, government at various levels, as well as our own employees. This will also enable us to collect demographic information about our customers to better understand who they are, how they shop, and how to better the user experience. We also collect personal information to protect CannaPiece against error, fraud, theft and damage to our goods and property. Ultimately this will allow us to establish, maintain and manage our relationship with you better, so that we may provide you with, or receive from you, the products and services that have been requested in the most safe and efficient way possible.

Personal Information Disclosure 

Our use of personal information will be identified to you at the time of collection or otherwise is stated in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell, exchange or disclose any of your information that we obtain unless otherwise required to do so by law. 

Personal information is collected directly from you, or from a third party provider such as a healthcare professional, licensing, or credential verification organization. 

There may be certain reasons why we would need to disclose your information to third parties, including:

Access to Your Personal Information

CannaPiece enables you to access and retrieve your personal information at anytime. To review other personal information that we have about you, simply make a written request to our office. There may be a charge for retrieving a complete list of personal information, in which case you will be notified in advance and you may, at that time, withdraw your request. 

Your right to access the personal information that we hold about you is not absolute. There are instances where applicable law or regulatory requirements allow or require us to refuse to provide some or all of the personal information that we hold about you. 

Currently, the primary place in which CannaPiece holds your personal information is Ontario, Canada. 

Updating Your Personal Information 

It is important that the information contained in our records is both accurate and current. If your personal information happens to change during the course of our relationship, please keep us informed of such changes. Once you have the personal information, all you have to do is check it for accuracy and let us know if there are any corrections required. 

If incorrect personal information has been provided to third parties, we will convey the corrected information to them, if necessary. If we do not agree to change your personal information, you may challenge our decision. We will make a record of this challenge, and if necessary, disclose the challenge to third parties who also possess the personal information. 

Ownership 

All Personal Information collected by CannaPiece in compliance with this Privacy Policy are business records of CannaPiece. 

Disclosure Log 

CannaPiece will take reasonable care to maintain a disclosure transaction log that accurately records all use, corrections, additions, deletions and disclosures including the names of all parties enabling the transaction. Where the Personal Information of the Individual is disclosed to any person or organization, the name of the person or organization to which the Personal Information is disclosed will be recorded along with a reasonably thorough description of the purpose of the disclosure. 

Retention 

All Personal Information collected by CannaPiece will be retained pursuant to the Law, Legislation, Regulation, and governing bodies. Personal Information that is no longer needed for its stated purpose will be destroyed, erased or made anonymous.

Deceased 

The rights and protections of the Privacy Policy will extend to deceased Individuals.

Security  

CannaPiece will take and enforce all reasonable security measures appropriate for the sensitivity of the information to ensure that all Personal Information for every Individual is protected against any form of unauthorized use including but not limited to accidental or malicious disclosure, unauthorized access, unauthorized modification, unauthorized duplication or theft. 

CannaPiece will educate and inform all Staff regarding the Privacy Policy and related procedures and on the importance of confidentiality of Personal Information and will monitor compliance with the Privacy Policy and may observe and investigate the information management practices of all Staff having care of Personal Information.

Non-Personal Information 

Non-personal information is information that cannot identify you personally, such as, browser information and program data that records the website page choices you make. 

Our website may use ‘cookies’ to collect non-personal information about you, to help us better deliver our products and services to you. A ‘cookie’ is a small text file sent to your browser’s files for our reference. They allow our server computer to recognize you when you return to our website and retain any preferences you have provided. 

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., which utilizes the data collected to track, and examine the use of this application, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other  

Google services. In this case, Google may use cookies and usage data from your time here to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
