Summary 

As warehouse shipper receiver you are responsible for accurately maintaining warehouse documentation and lead efficient activity of movement of products into and out of the warehouse. At CannaPiece, we adhere to GDP and GPP standards and require all our employees to follow this mandate.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the development and Supply Chain workflows and SOP’s.
  • Complete logistics duties of handling shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and managing inventory.
  • Verify and manage the approval and submission of Bill of Ladings, Invoices, Packing Lists, and other documents.
  • Maintain communication with management and departments regarding delayed shipments.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving duties with other departments to maintain inventory levels and operational activities.
  • Oversee and monitor status of placed orders and adjust activities to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Performa daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and reconcile variances.
  • Act as an internal customer service agent by resolving Logistic based inquiries and errors.
  • Maintain health and safety standards while performing all job duties.
  • Communicate with the Quality Assurance department and ensure all Health Canada and other regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Provide additional support to management as needed.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead or a related position is required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics, or another ERP system is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Able to communicate accurately and professionally to all internal and external clients.
  • Physically able to ship and receive heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) daily.
  • Knowledge of effective health and safety protocols relating to warehouse-based environments and activities.
  • Experience coordinating and tracking inventory levels.
  • Able to obtain a Forklift License.
